Fulleda is a small village in the province of Lleida, about 55km from the capital, and in the region of Les Garrigues. The Matallonga cellar opened its doors in 2010. However, the family’s 10 hectares of vines were planted more than 60 years ago. The family viticultural tradition started many years ago, and today it reaches its fourth generation with Joan Penella as leader. He is the lively founder of the vineyard’s regenerative technique, although it has always been done ecologically, and now also bio-dynamically, without certifications. His daughter Alba, an oenologist, is the one who manages the cellar with her father. The quality of the products they create led to the good relationship we were able to establish from the very beginning. The result of all of this has been the NON STOP project, which Gran Anyada is launching with excitement!
