It has always been one of Gran Anyada’s inquisitiveness to work with the most important single-varietal wines of Galicia. We have a great Albariño and a great Godello, so now it is Treixadura’s turn, another important although not so well-known variety. This is something which we could achieve with the group Grandes Pagos Gallegos, more specifically its oenologist Jose Manuel Martinez Juste, friend and collaborator with Gran Anyada in many other joint projects. The group has at its disposal the wine cellar Pazo de Casanova, located in the DO Ribeiro, where Treixadura is its most important variety. Pazo de Casanova has two estates oriented towards the south, and located on the right side of the Miño river, one of the valley’s slopes. The altitude is about 200 meters, and a more than 200-year-old retaining wall made of stone encloses the estate. A project we couldn’t miss, and which Gran Anyada is proud to launch because we know it will be the joy of our customers.
